ISO Certifications/FDA

ISO 9001:2000 – NEPG was officially registered on November 27, 2001 on the first audit with zero non-compliances.

ISO 13485:2003 – NEPG has achieved the quality management standard for medical devices on June 14, 2006. Highlights include:

  • Achieving this certification supports future company growth objectives.
  • This standard requires the company to be cognizant of regulatory requirements and perform risk assessment to satisfy our customer’s requirements.
  • Management promotes the importance of quality throughout the organization, focusing on the benefits to the customer.

FDA Registration #1226191 – The FDA publishes a clear definition of what constitutes a medical device to assist companies determine the need for a registration number. This definition includes medical device component manufacturers; which NEPG considers itself to be.

Lean Manufacturing

In November 2005, NEPG was awarded a Workforce Training Grant by the state of Massachusetts to assist in the incorporation of lean manufacturing into company operations. Highlights that add value to our customer relationships include:

In the latter part of 2006, NEPG will be pursuing Six Sigma training to achieve the
following:

  • Achieve fewer or zero defects
  • Shorten cycle times
  • Increased capacity and throughput
  • Lower costs, increase revenues and profits

June 14, 2005 – NEPG was a recipient of a prestigious 2005 Medical Design Excellence Award sponsored by MDDI and presented by Canon Communications at MD & M East in New York City.
